This is what happened in 2013

We had success in 2013.

Cup

(That's 23 out of the last 26 years the system has worked)

STOP PRESS: (This was what I wrote on Melbourne Cup evening - 5th November 2013.)

"The 2013 Melbourne Cup has been run and won by Firoente."

"Here is part of what the subscribers to MelbourneCupMax’s “How To Pick The Winner Of The 2013 Melbourne Cup” read this morning in the Members Only section:

Here are the six horses from which I think will come the winner of the 2013 Melbourne Cup. #4 Sea Moon; #6 Fiorente; #8 Dandino; #10 Fawkner #12. Seville #19. Simenon

However, I really can’t fault Fiorente’s preparation for the 2013 Melbourne Cup. So, I have chosen Fiorente as my #1 pick to win the Cup today.

And... I proudly tell that four of my six selections finished in the first six places.

Immediately after the Cup one of our subscribers - Dennis Kelly from Grafton NSW wrote:

"Thank you Max. I am a long time subscriber. Over the years you have provided us with six chances each year for the Melbourne Cup. For most of those years you have then culled the selections down to your top three. However, in a year considered to have been the best ever field in 152 years and after missing the winner last year, you clearly embraced the concept of “the best form of defence is attack”.

"To have had the courage to go with your deliberations and then isolate a single horse - Fiorente - as your selection in such a year is “putting your balls on the line.” And added to that four of you horses ran in the first six places. You really do your homework. I dips my lid to you Sir! I offer my heartiest congratulations – what a feat!! If you were downcast after 2012 – you are back in a big big way."

"Hey Max. For three years now I've been following your advice and today sees me with another fistful of winning tickets. (See picture) Firstly, my Mum told me #6 (Fiorente) was her lucky number. That was good. But the clincher was when I saw your Melbourne Cup advice on the morning of the race. You wrote Fiorente was your #1 pick. Knowing this came after your hours and hours of research....I backed FIORENTE. Yippee!"

"You said a couple of years ago that there's nothing like holding winning Melbourne Cup tickets and yesterday this stood true again. While I don't ever bet large, the winnings were enough to take my girl out last night and enjoy dinner, cocktails and champagne. Thanks again Max."

Now my research has begun for the winner of the 2014 Melbourne Cup challenge. Check back again soon for update.

For the newcomers to this site I have developed a system for picking the winner of the Melbourne Cup that has now (up to and including 2013) worked for 23 out of the last 26 years.

Free

Each year I do an enormous amount of work on my Ten Step system. And my research on the 2014 Melbourne Cup began he day after the 2013 Melbourne Cup. I will happily share each step of the system with you. And what's more - you can even download the system from this website for FREE! (But... please be aware the system requires a lot of homework and you need to make judgements. Or you can let Max do the work for you (as most people do) and purchase the results of the system for just $9.95 here.

I invite you to read the testimonials on this site from very happy people who have been following me and the system for many years. Most of them choose to let me do the research for them and simply buy my annual eBook. (It costs just $9.95) When you place your order for the eBook be aware you will receive on or about Friday 24th of October 2014. This is the week following the running of the Caulfield Cup.

In the eBook you will see how I follow and collect Melbourne Cup snaps, snippets and stories all year round from all over the world. You can check all of these out for yourself. The eBook is primarily designed for the once a year punters (who need my help) who wants to be able to say "I backed the winner of the Melbourne Cup."

However, serious punters (who do not need my help)will find all the details of all the 'lead up' races to the Melbourne Cup including video's of most of these lead up races. It is a mine of information where you get all the information you need in the one place. If you choose, you can spend hours and hours of time reading and absorbing the information, just as I have done in assembling the annual eBook.

Some of the information I collect you will find on my Facebook site - Facebook.com/MelbourneCupMax. I invite you to check it out and 'like' some of the stories you find there to ensure you get notifications of when I post something. You can also follow me on Twitter @MelbourneCupMax.
