His most important wins came in the King's Stand Stakes and the Nunthorpe Stakes as a three-year-old in the summer of 1996.  The King's Stand Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged three years or older. The sire of Cross Counter is Teofilo

Teofilo is an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse and active stallion. In a racing career that lasted only four months in 2006 he became the European Champion Two-Year-Old of 2006, and retired undefeated after five starts. He won two Group One races: the National Stakes in Ireland and the Dewhurst Stakes in England. He was made favourite for both the 2000 Guineas and The Derby but suffered a knee injury in April 2007 which ended his racing career. He is currently standing at stud in County Kildare. The owner/trainer, Jim Bolger had stated that whatever Teofilo had already achieved, he would have been better as a three-year-old running over middle distances; "You won't see the true horse until he goes over a mile and a half", he said.

From those 15 starts in Japan he weighed in 11 times for 5 wins 4 seconds and 2 thirds. He ran 2000 meters in the fast time of 1.59.6. He died at the age of 19 years at White Robe Lodge in Otago, New Zealand.

The Sire of Magic Circle is Makfi
 
Makfi: Made his first start in 2009, winning a five-runner race at Fontainebleau. This was his only start as a two-year-old and was next seen easily winning the Prix Djebel in April 2010. He then started the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket as a 33/1 outsider. In the race jockey Christophe Lemaire held Makfi up towards the rear of the field. He made progress thought the field with two furlongs left to run and overtook leading Dick Turpin inside the final furlong. He went on to with the race by 1¼ lengths from Dick Turpin, with Canford Cliffs a further ½ length back in third place. The pre-race favourite St Nicholas Abbey finished in sixth place. Makfi followed his 2000 Guineas success with a disappointing run in the St. James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, where he finished in seventh behind winner Canford Cliffs. He then faced seven rivals, including Goldikova and Paco Boy, in the Prix Jacques Le Marois. He took the lead with half a furlong to run and ran on to win by 2½ lengths from 4/6 favourite Goldikova, with Paco Boy just behind her in third. Makfi returned to Ascot for his final race, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. He started as the even money favourite, but could only finish in fifth place, about three lengths behind winner Poet's Voice.
Makfi was officially rated as the joint third best horse in the world in 2010, with a rating of 128. The only horses rated higher were Harbinger and Blame, making Makfi the top miler in the world that year.

The Sire of Sound Check is Lando
 
Lando: Died in August 2013 at the age of thirteen and was a German Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was twice named German Horse of the Year and set an earnings record for a horse trained in Germany. He was one of the best juveniles in 1990, winning the Preis Des Winterfavoriten and in 1993 he won the Deutsches Derby and the Grosser Preis von Baden. Continued to improve as a four-year-old, winning the Hansa Preis and a second Grosser Preis von Baden in Germany as well as the Gran Premio del Jockey Club in Italy. Had his best year in 1995 in winning the Gran Premio di Milano and the Preis der Privatbankiers Merck, Finck & Cobefore ending his career with a victory in the Japan Cup. He won a total of 10 of his 23 races, and competed in five different countries on three continents.

Dansili (foaled 27 January 1996) is a British Thoroughbred racehorse. He won five races, including the Prix du Muguet. After retiring from racing he became a successful stallion, with his progeny including Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Rail Link and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Harbinger. His latest successful progeny Muntahaa won the Ebor Heritage Handicap at York on the 25th August last (See Video below and carefully study two horses in the last 200 meters, Stratum and Muntahaa. Stratum was favourite for the Ebor and needed the win to qualify for the Melbourne Cup). Dansili became Champion sire in France in 2006.

Heart's Cry  was a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. In a racing career which lasted from January 2004 until November 2006 he ran nineteen times and won five races. In his first two seasons he was placed in many important races including the Tokyo Yushun, Takarazuka Kinenand Japan Cup before recording a 16/1 upset victory over the Japanese Horse of the Year Deep Impact in the Arima Kinen at Nakayama Racecourse in December 2005. In the following year Heart's Cry proved himself in international competition when winning the Dubai Sheema Classic in the United Arab Emirates and finishing third in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Britain.

Monsun was a very tough competitor who acted on both soft and firm ground. He started his career at three years. He won 12 of his 23 races, including three Group 1 races, Aral Pokal at three and Europa Preis at three and four. He also finished second to then less-fancied stable companion Lando in the 1993 Deutsches Derby.

Le Havre is an Irish-bred French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. Bred in Ireland by his French-based breeders he was bought for €100,000 as a yearling and trained in the South-West of France by Jean-Claude Rouget. As a two-year-old he showed promise in winning his first two races but finished unplaced when favourite for the Critérium International. He began his second season with an upset win over Naaqoos in the Prix Djebel and then finished second in the Poule d'Essai Des Poulains before recording his biggest win in the Prix du Jockey Club. In the latter race he sustained serious injuries which led to his retirement shortly afterwards. As a breeding stallion, he made an immediate impact, siring several major winners.

He was one of the best two-year-old of 2010 in Ireland when he won five of his seven races including the Golden Fleece Stakes, Tyros Stakes and Phoenix Stakes. Montjeu was an Irish-bred, French-trained thoroughbred horse and sire. In a racing career which lasted from September 1998 to November 2000 he ran sixteen times and won eleven races. After winning twice as a juvenile, he was the outstanding European racehorse of 1999, winning the Prix du Jockey Club, the Irish Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Camelot is a British-bred, Irish-trained thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the leading European two-year-olds of 2011 On his three-year-old debut, Camelot won the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket of 1 mile (1,609 metres) and followed up by winning the Derby at Epsomone mile, four furlongs and 6 yards (2,420 metres) and the Irish Derby at the Curragh1 mile and 4 furlongs (2,414 metres). His bid for the Triple Crown failed when he lost to Encke in the St Leger, 1 mile, 6 furlongs and 115 yards (2,921 metres) . Camelot made up ground throughout the final quarter-mile but was unable to run down Encke, who had gained a decisive break on the field, and finished second by three-quarters of a length. There was some criticism of Joseph O'Brien's riding, but Aidan O'Brien blamed himself for failing to run a pacemaker.

Manduro: Foaled in 2002 in Germany. At age two and three Manduro raced in Germany.Won the 2004 Group III Preis Des Winterfavoriten and 2005's Preis der Deutschen Einheit. In 2006, he raced from a base in France and won the Group II Prix d'Harcourt at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris and finished second twice and third three times in five Group One events.In 2007 Manduro was undefeated in five starts and the dominant horse in Europe for most of the year. He won three major races in France and two in England but came out of his win in September's Prix Foy with a cannon bone fracture that ended his racing career and which kept him out of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp Racecourse. The Arc was won by Dylan Thomas whom Manduro had earlier defeated by a length and a quarter in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
