In 2018 James from Victoria Point QLD wrote: "Hi Max. Just wanted to give a big shout out and say thank you for your booklets including the extra booklet on Trifectas. Following the system, I placed a box trifecta on the international horses that, as per Trifecta Thoughts, had won races overseas. This resulted in me getting the first three places of the Cup and I pocketed $1100. Nearly had the first four as well based on that info. Thank again again Max."
In 2018 Norm from Mandurah Western Australia wrote: "Thanks for your tips Max. Cross Counter and Marmelo WOW! I am not a punter but love to have a bet on the Cup and obviously pick the winner. I boxed 4 of your horses in a Quinella and it paid $74.60 and I finished $53.00 in front on the race. Had some fun a got the bragging rights. Kind regards."
In 2018 Glen Speck, Mustang, Oklahoma. USA wrote: "Hi Max. As an American, many people think it strange that I bet on the Australian Gallops online. I placed my first Australian bet in 2004, although I have been handicapping horses and playing the races since 1983. I signed up for Max Hitchins' Pick The Cup Winner in 2004 to aid me in handicapping that year's Melbourne Cup. It's a common belief in the U.S.A. that mares are about 20% inferior to male horses, so I thought Max was quite mad to pick a mare to win the Cup - Makybe Diiva. Max showed me the error of my ways. I have signed up for Max's Pick The Cup Winner every year since. His picks have been both phenomenal and profitable, this year, picking the Quinella of Cross Counter and Marmelo, being no exception. Long live Max Hitchins!"
These are just a few examples of people who have benefited from Trifecta Thoughts and How To Pick The Winner Of The Melbourne Cup.
And, if you do not already do so, may I suggest you follow me on Facebook at Facebook.com/MelbourneCupMax. I say this because I believe the Melbourne Cup has changed. And because of this we need a new strategy for betting on the Melbourne Cup. You will read more about these 'changes' in this eBook. During the year I have made comments at Facebook.com/MelbourneCupMax about various horses being worth a small each way bets on the Cup Futures market.
Example: On Friday the 24th of May, 2019, I wrote this on my Facebook page:
"The Andrew Ramsden Stakes is to be run at Flemington tomorrow - Saturday 25/5/19 at 4.05pm EST. It is 'win and your in' the 2019 Melbourne Cup opportunity for the winner of this race." (Winner automatically qualified for the 2019 Melbourne Cup)
"I expect Runaway and Transact to lead most (if not all) the way. But there are some really interesting horses in the race and I'm sure it will be a great contest. I'm certainly going to be watching Eastender, Alfaris, Azuro and Sheezdashing as well as the in form favourite and Adelaide Cup winner Surprise Baby who I expect will come from the back of the field. But the horse I have developed a Melbourne Cup strategy around is Steel Prince. From his last 10 starts he's won six races and finished second four times. (I love consistent horses!) One of those seconds was in the 2800m race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day last year when he finished second to the subsequent 2019 Sydney Cup winner Shraaoh."
"In the 2019 TAB Melbourne Cup Futures market Steel Prince is currently $51 a win and $13.50 a place. I note he is only $31 with Sportsbet. Of course if Steel Prince wins on Saturday I expect this price to drop."
In what has been hailed by many race followers as an outstanding finish at Flemington, Steel Prince beat Surprise Baby by a nose. He immediately became one of the favourites for the 2019 Melbourne Cup and his price quoted at $21.00.

The pupose of following me on Facebook and understanding how the Futures market works is (hopefully) to be able to back a Melbourne Cup horse or horses at long prices and 'lay off' your bet at much shorter prices. Hence it is possible to have the horse or horses running for you in the Cup for NO OUTLAY! (That's clever gambling!) But, remember you are still gambling....and there are no certainties in gambling.
If you do not understand the terminology 'lay off' and the 'Futures market' you will find it in Trifecta Thoughts.
Thank you for reading this far. I hope you buy the eBook. I hope you learn heaps from it. I hope it helps you have a successful Melbourne Cup.
